This image represents the final track focus evolution for RE-Xtreme Version III.

I thought for a long time about this car. I knew it would be tough, but I thought I could make it. maybe I was a little marginal.
Searching for a 90% track focussed machine only being capable of driving to the track. That was the requirement.

Knowing this one would see track time, I wasn't worried about pristine interior or exterior. But the right components for the right price. FRP panels were not in the best condition, but perfect for a time attack / drift machine.

Eventually, I found this 2000 model with solid components. Scoot Bonnet and Bumper, huge GT wing and
RE-Amemiya lighting make for a purposeful appearance.

My vision was coming true.

The addition of RP-01 wheels and Graphix came later.

Originally it had side skirts also but these were niether required nor too attractive. I tried to complement them with an extra drag rear wing but that was not the direction I wanted and both items were sold.

Other components in need of attention were replaced and the car slowly neared it's track debut.

Interior has been chosen for track adventures.

A new Bride Zieg III is the ultimate seat and holds you exactly in the right spot in an FD3s. Super Low Max seating position and seat clearances are perfect. Within a few mm of door and center panels.

Cusco 7 point cage with new padding and a new Dspec Formula 340mm 80mm deep cone wheel make it just right to match the perfect seating position. A quick slide rearward and you are in or out.

A full array of 52mm Defi support guages complete the picture along with the Apexi controller.

Rear interior panels are stripped to accommodate the cage and the rear seat is missing for most of the time.

RE-Amemiya harness bar and Willans 2" harness hold me in place for track duty.

Power is Adequate. Roughly 400ps. Volume is Loud with external wastegate.

TD06 25G is similar to Amemiya spec cars and suits the FD well. Not too much lag before the boost is released. A boost controller in the centre console switches between 0.7 and 0.9 bar for attack.

Intercooler is a custom design with the radiator still in the original position. This allows good air flow through the vented bonnet and future plans were to slowly reposition components and add custom alloy intakes and airflow guides.

Current tyres struggle with this power. OK for fun. But future tyre direction has been chosen with this in mind.

I also replaced the dampers with infinately adjustable items and chose new spring rates for the circuit to match the aero package albeit with a front splitter and tyres yet to be purchased.

So the car requires.
A new set of tyres, a new underpanel / splitter and thats it.  Then Drive. Drive and maintain.

For those after a show car. Maybe this is not for you. But for a fun track day or weekend machine that doesn't mind a few bugs mashed against the front bumper.

This could be what you need. It's the focus of Version III.

Since 2010/10~ and the project start, I've driven under 1200 klms as I was concentrating on prepping the car.

Unfortunately a lack of funding has put an end to project completion and regular use of this awesome machine. The Tokyo earthquakes impacted on my life a tough decision has been made to sell the car.

The car is currently for sale. Stickers have been removed.

I am also willing to swap the bonnet for a carbon one of the same design I have access to or add additional parts for the right customer.
