DCUPS Evolution

Chester's awesome DCUPS FD has recently evolved.

This one of THE best Privately owned and tuned FD3s RX7 on the planet in terms of being a completely modified car starting from an almost standard one with GT-C body kit.

Chester's list of componentry reads like a shoppers dream, add the power specs and competency of this car and you get something quite special.

The fact that the body is still relatively untouched is testament to the standard shape of the FD.

Engine recently recieved a Single turbo conversion and every single component polished to perfection.

Recent CE28N finished in Time Attack Red line and black make the image one of true JDM style.
The size still seems a little large up front. But there is no denying this car has a real aura.

Interior is also very up to par. a place the driver car appreciate.

The last image is one of purpose. A tribute to Chester's time, money and passion to create nothing but the best. But some little voice tells me Chester needs some a lot wilder than a stadard bodied car.
The car is now in new ownership. Good luck with new things.

D1 Odaiba Paddock

MAD CRAZY AWESOME! RE-Amemiya GENKI 7 with 19" Weds.!!!
NOT! No wonder it's easy to get a good picture of this car. no one would go near it looking as it is. AMA-SAN TAKE OFF THE COVERS! The design is good. Let it be better than a piece of plywood.
I like the R-Magic cars but the drift car's front wheels stick out sooo far its rediculous. Amemiya made some covers for the AD GT a while back. Something like that would be good.

R-Magic is all business inside. Sequential mission and a big gear shift light. CHANGE!

Suenaga putting on his suit. He was backing up in the SL car on Sunday.

Two Amemiya cars show the difference between D1 and D1SL. The extra with in the D1 car is noticable up close.

This stupidity has become a recent trend in Japan. With Manga looking for new markets the car scene is not free. Strikers is a new release. Aoshima has the models and Amemiya has the real thing. Drive through Akihabara these days and this is pretty much the norm.
As long as it keeps Amemiya in business. Thats ok I guess.

RE-Xtreme 10year REview

As my blog unique hits surpassed 77,777 this week, I am contemplating the life of the blog.

I thought it best to look back at what has happened and how the blog/website came to be and maybe an end. It's been a long road.

In 1991 the FD rx7 was released throughout the world and while I was living in Australia and loving cars, the FD seemed to be the ONE for me. I moved through a couple of FCs and other Japanese performance cars I still had that urge.

After a few unsuccessful attempts to purchase ultra couple of expensive normal spec FDs in 1996 and a full tune crazy version in 1998 in Australia, it wasn't until I came to Japan in 2002 that I began to get close.

A couple of years before that I was starting to build the original RE-xtreme as a showcase for my web collected image gallery but it developed into an obsession as I catalogued parts and body styles I dreamed about for the perfect FD. But the interactive nature of Ausrotary and other forums had me sharing the passion.

Enter Project 1, You can follow it's progress from inception here and with many posts on mazdarotary club.com. It was around this time I was making my WHITE!!!(didn't happen that way) project car happen albeit at low cost. In 2004 I was really getting involved in the Japanese scene with other FD owners in Japan and neweraimports. But I returned to Australia after some other issues and eventually finished project one DIY style. It was in OZ that the rediculous cost of FD ownership in that country really had me looking for alternatives and it was sold.

But nothing really replaced it. I loved the first one.
The second project II began to fill the hole and it was going to an all out beast. The original design was the above picture to be a WHITE!!!!(didn't happen that way) touge drift car, but in the end I made it too good to thrash and it didn't really sit well with my income and the impending financial crisis.

For the last year I have been maintaining this blog/ website without the real passion that I had before. So thats basically where I am now. While my interest in cars hasn't wained, it has however changed focus. I am driving a different car and I am basically finished it's tuning evolution.

So I guess it is almost time to pull the plug on RE-Xtreme. I am forcasting a final post after 7's day this year and it would be a good end to the blog/site.

I can't forsee a future with an FD at the moment and there are definately other things to spend time on.

Expect posts to slow more in the future, if you haven't noticed already.

Thanks for taking the time to read my rants.
