RCO Drift Police

Remember this...

Well now check this...

Russian owner, "Anton" sent me these pictures of a pretty cool sequence.

280hp from a pretty sock engine is more than enough for some anti-behaviour demonstrations.

Now kids... don't make tyre graffiti. It's bad...

Door graffiti idea was concieved by Anton.

Maybe we should all join the RCO PDRD Police Drift, Rotary Department.

"Reports of Drift Activity" MOBILISE

We have him locked on.

Drift Silvia chase is on.

Work is performed by Russian workshop and drift team "Race Cars Only" they have this Silvia and 2 other FD3s. http://www.racecarsonly.ru/

Looks like the boys always catch their target.

But my question for Anton is... Why did this naughty girl need handcuffs?

Thanks Anton and your photographers for these cool images.

Fukuoka Custom Car Show 2010

Fukuoka Auto Salon was substituted by the Custom Car Show.  The Friends D1SL car was on display. Red and white still looks good.

The Uras Seven made an appearance, the flat black still fairing ok.

Avanty had a big display, They are one of the bigger shops in the small area.

Their main "Yellow Jackets" car is surprisingly simple. NA 13b Bridge Port.  STATS !!! 420PS/12000RPM 42kg/10000RPM!!!! with NOS> Pretty awesome.

Their convertible still rocking the scene unchanged. It was for sale a while back. I think it might work with a removable roof.

This car had a more conventional setup.

Their display continued with this red machine.

But I am still a big fan of the Border type III front. This one looks good. The Avanty Gallery has more pics of all.
D1 Autopolis was promoting with the RE-A D1SL car. I'd like to buy this one and maybe some decoration for it too.

RE-Xtreme Virtual Showroom

When you have no cash like me. You can still dream of the ultimate garage. Recently, I discovered Google's 3d sketchup and a few people have already created FD3s RX7 3d models including the Fast and Furious versions.

Osaka Auto Mese 2010

First pics have already started to surface from todays opening of the Osaka Auto Messe, I'll update this post as it happens.

TCP Magic D1 car... no closer to turnkey

They have been working on Mad Mikes adventures and new body parts. These small canards aren't going to chop your leg off (well maybe they still will) as much as the D1 type.

I've also been watching the development of these side skirts / planks... I think the Feed ones sit lower and have more style. Interesting deflectors on the rear of them though.

more to come... No sorry, there isn't anything more. Thats it, 2 FD3s, thats all, nothing else.

Light tune and full tune from Total Car Produce - Magic.

Glad I wasn't waiting for this show. After TAS I was expecting much more. It seems the tuning scene is pretty void of money after all. They all spent their money on the Auto Salon.

Lights! Camera! Action!

In 2002, RE-Sugiyama built this FD3s 5 seater, 1 stander. You'd get some awesome shots with this car.

Pitty it uses a Spirit R as the base car though. maybe an old hack would have been a cheaper starting point. I guess reliability was a factor. But somehow a truck or something else may have also been a better alternative.

I guess If you have to drive a camera car, this is the one to have.

Jada - Initial D / Race Versions.

My FD collections maybe out of control. I started collecting them at an expensive price.

This was the first one. I Wanted it Bad so I paid through the roof. It had different wheels but as I collected others parts were swapped on to it.

This one was next a lot later and it was cheaper. about half price on sale.

Then I started collecting Supras and Skylines in the same style. The DoLuck Double Six rims are awesome!
I swapped the bonnet from another onto this Initial D version. These came with figures also. Ryousuke and Keisuke and other drivers filled my collections. I bought a lot of this version from K-Mart as they were on sale for $10 a lucky find. I can't remember what wheels they had originally.

They also came with a display stand that created a good feel. I later built these into a custom shelf. More models came and designs transformed.  They are now in storage but one day I'll have a garage big enough for all my collections. I hope...

I sacrificed this work livery for my Pan Speed version. You can see the back of a R32 on the right.
I had to modify some of them to fit the huge rims.

Jada - Super Wide Replica

This one is a modified Jada Toys C-West replica. These models are already super tough but i wanted something a little better.

Super deep TE37 look uber cool! I tried to accomodate them as best I could with some RE-AD Style fenders that blend into the rear.

Here is mini me standing proud over this one. Tiny RedSuns markings show drift intentions.

Here is the car during construction. Keisuke and Ryousuke looking on. Project D II

Jada - Pan Speed Replica

My PAN SPEED replica started life as another C-West equipped Jada 1:18 die cast model. I modified the front and combined it with swapped parts from others. The result is a sweet, wide, low ride.

These models are far from scale and have huge rims with a super dumped stance. The rear wheels are huge, but at the same still contribute to some fantasy, drag/show spec car.

Pretty cool.

Jada - Fooboy Replica

There was a time in Australia when the coolest RX-7s were the simplest. Reliable modifications and stock body with Mazdaspeed parts reigned.

Aaron Foo's FD was one such car. well known in the rotary scene for minimal coolness. As Aaron and I became friends, I eventually made a replica for him.

The source was a Jada Toys 1:18 scale FD3s Initial D FD. I modified it to look stock bodied with a new lip spoiler and created a mazdaspeed bonnet, although Jada dimensions ensure stock is only a rough estimate.

I went a bit further and replicated Myself and Aaron in 1:18 also. The result was quite special.

Jada Initial D cars came with Keisuke and Takumi figures that I resculpted into life like replicas of Aaron (Left) and myself (making those glasses was terrible.)

Large scale like this is excelled for details. Working in Metal is good and bad, but if you put in the effort, it will usually turn out better. The result is strong and easily displayed as a lasting memory.
