RC Drift - FD Ver II

Mounted the body and installed the lights. I am using another set of wheels for drifting and I am keeping these Advan RS wheels fresh for display. I still need to install an intercooler in the front and add a few small stickers but its basically finished.

It drifts well, you can see two really dark, low quality videos here but they quite abient... The first is small drifting with Lights and the second is a standing light Display

The Yokomo active light kit is cool. The lights flash randomly when you are stopped and the hazards come on after 3 seconds. When you drive the lights blink faster. They are pretty bright and definately get attention at night.

RC Drift FD Version II

Yokomo was sold out of Drift Package Rx7's when I bought my Chassis , but now I have set up my next body.

Yokomo Apex D1 / Vertex Ridge widebody FD body set + Yokomo RE-Amemiya Real Light Kit + Yokomo Active LED Light kit + Yokomo Advan RS wheels - D1 sticker set = 1 very impressive looking RC Car. The fact that it will replicate my real car in some ways has me very excited about the next project.

The Active light kits is similar to D1 lights that flash sequentially.
When the car stops the hazards come on. Cant wait to drill the mounting holes and try it out.
I wonder If I can resist putting some of the mettalic red stickers from the apexi set on the car.

Stay tuned for a small movie of the light kit and the car in action.

RE-Xtreme FD Version II Preview.

What has a smooth black skin, an aggressive stance and a fierce growl? Here is a sneak peak.

I am excited to announce the start of my new FD project, RE-Xtreme Version II with Newera. Even though it has a current spec engine of around 350bhp and the chassis is already tuned to a reasonable level with selected items, this Rx7 will be receiving a lot more attention in the coming months. The car will not be registered for street attack until after the 1st of April, but that doesn't mean the project hasn't started.

The decision was made to go with this 1996 model as a starting point, utilising its' 16 bit ECU technology and upgraded components from the later model, then tune to create something quite special. I will be incorporating some of the best components available on the Japanese market to create a formiddable FD3s Rx-7.

Stay tuned as more unfolds in 2007 .

A Very Happy Russ. :)
