1/24 Grid

Latest monsterpiece is rough enough to show.

So I always get sidetracked in my projects. This one was no different. It started from the need to purchase clear light covers for another car that I "misplaced". and then It was just your regular build. I thought about red, but as I was painting the base coat, the white and red in my hands gave me an idea.

Why not make a Marlboro style livery. At the moment I don't have/ haven't made any Marlboro decals and with time, I probably wont. so this is as close as it will prbably get. No clear coat, and no lights.

This one still requires painted chassis. The chassis is always a pretty boring task for me, as they aren't scale on Fujimi kits, they rarely get the attention they deserve. Fron A arms are just staright bars, and the exhaust requires a full change. So these two are basically... Done.

I pulled out some older ones, for a look in the sun. They aren't so great up close, but still cool. The one's I took my time with are prefect however.

If you are building a 1/24 scale plastic model. None of them are perfect. They are just not "right" .

Tamiya, Aoshimi & Fujimi kits all have their flaws and different shapes. But the results still look cool.

ADH Motorsport

Readers of my facebook page may have seen this, but for others, here's the latest pics from ADH Motorsport's Britcar Entry.

It was about a year ago I posted the last pics and the story behind this car.

Since then the rules have changed for their target series, so the guys had to make a few changes.

The RE-Amemiya AD-GT was not allowed so some changes to the frontal area and side skirts had to be employed.

The resulting design is none the less aggressive and the inclusion of a different splitter seems effective. Perspex windows, small mirrors, single wiper, frp rear hatch with the intention of speed and distance.

As the body goes through it's re-design, the interior is complete and almost ready for action. Clean and simple.

Engine already includes the goods.

This UK build includes all the best of the worlds items.

Coefficients of Traction and Friction. There's some mathematics behind this.

Plans are for a debut sometime this year. So the drivers will soon be sitting in their Bride Seat with a more motivating view than their garage.

RX7 in a BOX - Updated

It's been a while since I pulled out my modelling boxes to inspect where I left off 6 months ago.

Why? Busy I guess, but the other day I found some "must have" Advan AVS T6 so I thought I'd try to finish the current projects off. Target for the RE-AD GT will be red like a vertex Nob Taniguchi HKS style car.

The other one Ive been crafting is a Time Attack SPL.Rims are Rays Gram Lights 57 GT+ deep polished lips. I still have another round of putty for this one but the basic shape is coming together.

Update....

Well somwhere after the aquisition of the red paint, I decided to change the livery. I ended up with a Marlboro colour scheme and Rays VR. G2 wheels and stickers. While I'm waiting for cleanup and transfers I'm slowly fixing my mistakes. but it should be cool.
