Super Autobacs Chiba Naganuma 2007

Cruising on the way to Autobacs, I was passed by three FD's and a couple of RX8s at high speed. Fun times coming. As I arrived, there was the usual "which gorgeous FD should I park beside?"
Ah any will do.

I wandered around autobacs and you find the odd Spirit R next to the odd Touge Monster. But thats just the start, GT replicas and AC987s beautifully prepared way past amemiya's specifications.
This orange AC897 wide front FD was awesome. Black deep TE37 and all the best meterials looked great. Unfortunately though, it has one of those Super Greddy rear bumpers! We can overlook that though.
Time Attack season is here and the R-Magic car is looking even more impressive than ever. It is truely a show level machine that could win awards for engineering. Beautiful! The Knigt Sports FD is a more street focussed machine targeting the 59 bracket at Tsukuba. 5 seconds a lap doesn't sound much, but these cars are so different you understand the challenges to make the leap.
A lot of Rx8s on display, Revolution, Knight Sports and two new ones from R-Magic with super low front splitters able to cut the ankles of any small child. Knight Sports had a few other cars, a black single turbo FD and the new Yellow demo car. The new front spoiler canards are really good. But why the car has rear wide fenders and not front ones is a bit wierd. Even when the rear fenders have not been cut underneath.

The more you look around the more you see. Leg sport had a few nice things on display. The Carbon plenup pipe looks good. Parked up beside Amemiya's D1 machine there was a lot of interest, but one good thing about the D1 car was the bonnet struts. They functioned well and a set of Tein ones has been added to my list.

Revolution had a few cars on display. I had a good chat the the guys about the black ROAD LEGAL TA2 with Hewland trans and race fuel filler. Truely amazing machine. The new Time Attack machine is about 1 month away as he is currently building rear canards based on DTM.

Amemiya has the whole shed full of FD's there. D1 machine, Street 9, New Touge Monster, Old Touge Monster, Wide Bodies, AC897 machines, and many other cars wearing Amemiya gear. One noticeable absence however was Fujita. I guess they couldn't see any benefit in the trip from Kansai. too bad. There was still plenty of eye candy from the other guys.

This blue car featured new GTII widebody and wide white Rays TE37. It did not look out of place beside the immaculate Super Autobacs FD. That thing is a masterpiece.

Oh yeah, my car got plenty of interest too. I parked up next to a nice amemiya car with Weds Sport SA70 rims. Very tasty.
Russ.
