Quake Status

8.8 M eathquake was later updated to 9.0

Northern Japan was hit hard by the quake.

But basically it has disrupted everthing around Japan
  aftershocks as we speak.
  still 3 days after and every few hours or so
North of tokyo there was a 10Meter or 30Ft tsunami
 youve seen the pictures.
Our wishes go out to those in Northern Japan and the Sendai region.
  10000+ is the expected count
It was about 5.8 in Tokyo and it was scary too
so I am with friends
 have returned to my house since which was near disneyland and that area experienced some disruption due to reclaimed land stability.
water and electricity suspensions were in place but like anything in Japan has a team of people from all over fixing everything.

The fd is ok but others have been much more effected than me.
Its really of no concern really, Life is the concern

It was a big event and will effect everyone in some way.

Nuclear reactors continue to be of concern.
The authorities have explained at the moment the explosions at the plants have not breached the containment vessels and we have to follow the experts here.

Media is so intent on the truth at the moment its good. Its 24hours a day on all channels.

Been to work actually. People are upbeat outside the disaster area.

Food supplies are starting to be effected, but I think once the roads are opened up again, supplies will improve. Maybe some restrictions will apply.

The biggest disruption at the moment are trains. at least in Tokyo the managemnet of the electricity supply and then changes in those plans have caused some disruptions making the return to order somewhat difficult.

Its day by day here.

I don't doubt the power of this country in adversity.
