TAS 2005

So we had thought we had seen the end of the Fd. Amemiya came out with the GT replica, Time attack machine and few other incarnations to tease us again. Pan speed continued to push for top honours as it placed more emphasis on its new circuit spec car and loads of new parts. Tamon Design released Maruta's 7 and it looked so different beside the similar Scoot 4 Rotor and even moreso beside the Mid Night Boost up black beast prepped by RE-Amemiya.

Mazda even came back with the circuit trial attacker. Another evolution of the Rx7 that begs Mazda to replace. Grenade returned with their now D1 car and Cars Factory showed off their Purple Widebody options. Blitz re-displayed their Drag Fd as it appeared with new engine specs. New D1 machines from Asamoto and Suenaga appeared alongside Imamura's Vertex Ridge wide body equipped car sporting the new gram lights wheels.

Veilside released the awesome Fortune Fd to momentus award as it took best of show honours. the dramatic sraging also helped its devilish combat appeal. How many Fd's are still around you say, BN Sports split theirs with an Rx8 and phoenix plugged in a SR20DEtt 4 banger.

But for me, the Fujita road going cruiser stood out as the car with style and purpose. A true evolution of the Fd's original shape and refined into a road going mauler. Nothing overstated, except the 19" Advan RSII Rims... No, Just right.
