Wheel Size, Offset and Stance Guide!

What is a good wheel and tyre combo and offset for an RX7?

Everyone has different opinions on stance and offset.  For looks, my feeling is to get the wheels perfectly flush with the fenders. I also like a thinner tyre profile and a tiny bit of strtch, but thats just personal preference. It is by no means optimal for fastest lap times.

After Market

Recommended offset differs for many Japanese wheel manufacturers and many depend on the actual wheel and offsets available from that manufacturer. Weds has a good variety and one of the few to still list the FD3s. It is out of production you know.

Tyre sizes also depend on usage, looks and individual manufacturers specs.

Ceter bore for fitment is 67mm diameter and many aftermarket wheels are 73mm diameter. Its a good idea to get some hub centric rings for any aftermarket wheels.

Width and offset recommendations are the same for all wheels diameters but basically the tyre dimensions will force a small change in offset and width from manufacturers.

All you need to do is find wheels as close as you can to these.
If you can't get exactly what you need, then customise to make them fit.
Rolling, removing inners, flaring the fenders, whatever it takes.

20" will fit. But I am not going to list any. I personally don't recommend it unless you have a Feed Afflux V.

Semi Slick/S-tyres/R-Comp or whatever you call them have thicker tread and larger sidewalls for similar sizing. Go one size narrower for a better fit.

Weight and strength.
The cast vs forged wheel debate is always on. I have had both. Forged and Cast. It totally depends on your preference and setup. but I'd recommend forged wheels for lighter weight and strength but remember there are some really fast cars out there lapping tracks on cast rims and drifting with the best on heavy chrome 2 piece rims.
