Monster Number 9

The new touge monster is still my favourite. I' don't know why. The green is ugly, but somehow the Super Greddy 3 body kit just looks great.

For two years now this kit has been a major attraction at tas. But as yet, I'm still to see a private owner with one. For over 1.5Million for unpainted parts it's a bit pricey. But what do you get. 12 pieces + lights that completely trasforms the FD.

This is the biggest feature of the kit. The rear gate drops away between the rear lights and smoothly meets the rear bumper.

The rear lights are IPF items that feature on many custom cars in Japan.

The rear bumper finishes underneath with a diffuser Pro that integrates with the rear skirts.

Small over fenders immediately show the increase in width. Small vents follow the original fender exits and meet with the door curves.

Front over fenders housing 18" Enkei GT-C and Advan Neova are a perfect street size. 18x9.5J+38 up front and 18x10J+22 in the rear. 255 and 265, 35 series tyres round out the combo.

Front sleek light combo starts with the popular RE-Amemiya HID kit as a base and reshapes the covers to match the front curves. Amemiya-san has always loved porsche styling and this car retains the 911-style wedged bonnet although with a nicely crafted intercooler air extraction vent.

The complete package provides the "total balance" required to perform in most situations. The older AC"98"7 styling is refined in the last 12 years to become one of the total integrated design makeovers for the FD. Small canards and the GT-Wing add that touch more aggression.

Frontal green panda carbon frog whatever is curvacious and well sculpted. Trace the lines.

So what's under the bonnet? Just normality?

Firstly you can't look past the Level Man V-Mount radiator. The matching carbon shroud for the bonnet makes a great highlight.

Looking past that, there is normality. Standard twins remain. Hence the name "Boost Up" 9. The car uses a 90mm exhaust to crate the "9" part of the equation. Tried and tested upgrades like a air separator tank and Super Power Flow air filters as well as upgrades to boost lines.

Touches of the Green M7 alliance parts include the M7 oil catch tank and BOV.
