Minasan! Genki! - 7

You've seen the rear, Now let's look around the car.

Under the rear are 19"x10" Enkei GTC +22 with 275/30/19 and the fronts aren't much different 19"x9.5" Enkei GTC +22 with 245/35/19

To help create the stance of this car are top of the line RE-Amemiya SPL Quantum dampers with F16K and R18K super stiff Swift springs.

Under the bonnet, is no different. Only top spec items.  Side port engine with 3mm Super Apex seals, Level Man V-Mount, Greddy TD07S 25G turbine with external C-type wastegate (0.8), nismo fuel pump and Profec B control fuel and boost. Serious.

Along with aero, it all combines to propel this car to insane speed.

Front lights are custom IPF lights inside with Lotus Exige covers.

A closer look reveals the Carbon lip with undertray. As the stickers read. Advan Neova AD08 are the tyre of choice.

This car is seriously wide. The Mazda Taiki concept inspired fenders and lines flow well on the car. It's just the wheel covers that scream to be taken off. (as posted earlier.)

Mirrors are RE-Amemiya Super Mirror with a few mods. Interior is blue suede with white meter.

The new shade of blue chosen by RE-Amemiya is a lot more suited to this car. It makes the ugly parts less so and the agressive parts moreso.

Minasan (everybody) Genki (feel great). The Genki 7 inspires. Good and Bad.

Monster Number 9

The new touge monster is still my favourite. I' don't know why. The green is ugly, but somehow the Super Greddy 3 body kit just looks great.

For two years now this kit has been a major attraction at tas. But as yet, I'm still to see a private owner with one. For over 1.5Million for unpainted parts it's a bit pricey. But what do you get. 12 pieces + lights that completely trasforms the FD.

This is the biggest feature of the kit. The rear gate drops away between the rear lights and smoothly meets the rear bumper.

The rear lights are IPF items that feature on many custom cars in Japan.

The rear bumper finishes underneath with a diffuser Pro that integrates with the rear skirts.

Small over fenders immediately show the increase in width. Small vents follow the original fender exits and meet with the door curves.

Front over fenders housing 18" Enkei GT-C and Advan Neova are a perfect street size. 18x9.5J+38 up front and 18x10J+22 in the rear. 255 and 265, 35 series tyres round out the combo.

Front sleek light combo starts with the popular RE-Amemiya HID kit as a base and reshapes the covers to match the front curves. Amemiya-san has always loved porsche styling and this car retains the 911-style wedged bonnet although with a nicely crafted intercooler air extraction vent.

The complete package provides the "total balance" required to perform in most situations. The older AC"98"7 styling is refined in the last 12 years to become one of the total integrated design makeovers for the FD. Small canards and the GT-Wing add that touch more aggression.

Frontal green panda carbon frog whatever is curvacious and well sculpted. Trace the lines.

So what's under the bonnet? Just normality?

Firstly you can't look past the Level Man V-Mount radiator. The matching carbon shroud for the bonnet makes a great highlight.

Looking past that, there is normality. Standard twins remain. Hence the name "Boost Up" 9. The car uses a 90mm exhaust to crate the "9" part of the equation. Tried and tested upgrades like a air separator tank and Super Power Flow air filters as well as upgrades to boost lines.

Touches of the Green M7 alliance parts include the M7 oil catch tank and BOV.

All you need? no way!

Special Pan.

This Pan Speed Time Attack special would be great for delivery of Pizza. The 30minutes or free mentality would never be in Jepardy.

At this years Auto Salon the Yellow beast was wearing new shoes. VR. G2 in bright polish version. IMO they don't really suit the car. They need to be super dished.

Frontal attacker is all business. Canards are similar to Super GT profile.

I love the end of the front fenders. The way they hang out and don't meet the side skirts is quite cool. This kit was a collaboration with AB-Flug. So that's understandable as a lot of their stuff has large rear exits.

Rear fenders don't trap much air. But one wonders why this style is preferred to DTM style rear slicers.

Dry carbon rear wing is all purpose. Up close it is simply raw. The rear acrylic window is silconed in place and some random tape is used in places. this car is certainly not a picture of finish. But much like the Revolution car. It doesn't need to be polished or clear coated.

Most components are purely for function. Single lights provide "just enough" vision. I can't imagine driving this at night with the blue tint and a single beam.

One could only describe it as functional. large sections of the rear are cut away to reduce drag and the diffuser and flat bottom also feed that huge rear wing.

Close up of the vented bonnet. Actually a lot is closed off.

But the fender vents are OPEN. Hello Tyre!

Stand back and admire quickness.

AB Flug Refreshed

The AB-Flug pink spyder is an awesome machine. part of the original mid night club the car was part of the legendary road rule defiance in the 90s. Where money and excess ruled Japan.

The impact of this car is retina burning AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!
For TAS the car has been sharpened slightly repainted, repolished, rebuilt and refreshed.

Is the tuning on this car really 10 years old? It simply looks great. AB-Flug have always pushed the limits of tuning and the fact that this car looks right at home beside Pan speeds TA09 means that in it's day it was one of the wildest things on the planet.

Huge single turbo 13b power and caged interior mean business, but the polish was also there. This is beauty and beast.

It's hard to find one part of this car untouched. Custom bonnet vent that directs air to the wire mesh fronted turbine is cool in more ways than one. The dry carbon bonnet was one of the first on any FD.

Big, thick, CNC machined billet alloy Revolf rims were are mainstay of AB flugs GT-R and Supra clan. These are probably a bit too big though as I can see the turn radius would be compromised. A problem on more than a few TAS salon specials.

Even the stickers are 90's craziness. Simple fonts and single colour graphix.

Curves. Depth and Hang Time.

More here. Maybe the only standard component is the light cluster.

You can see the large wheel size from this angle. But it's easily forgotten amongs the feast for the eyes details.

I loved this little bit of custom "Bling"

Step inside and you'll find a showcase of the altelier sister company for full retrim.

Not to mention some new Abflug products like these gauge pods.
