7's Day - Tsukuba - CCE & LEG

I found myself drawn to two cars in particular at Tsukuba. The CCE demo car and...

Leg Sport street tune demo car.

CCE
The CCE demo car is the evolution of the 99+ image. The stock blue colour is enhanced by subtle bronze RE-30 and the body also features a few subtle, but substantially effective mods.

RE-Amemiya Hood 9 and AD GT-Side diffusers complement the latest body kit to hit Japan. The "Pleasure" kit injects and refelcts some race focus and track focus in the Japanese scene with Race car influence.

Up front there is a gaping hole for V-Mount entry. Solid ducting for temp control of oil and untegrated brake ducting. The undersweep also adds downforce to the front.

Ignore my reflection and check the lip. Should be effective.

Moving around the car, you can see the cool front fenders, they are just wide enough for some 255 or 265, to make an all around tire size possible. I like the way the indicators are hidden. A little scrubbing on these though, but the stance is definately on the low side.

As most cars are driven to the track, along the side of the car is where you notice something rarely seen. A full undertray! It was previously just a flat piece, but now features the amemiya side deflectors.

There is also an Amemiya Pro-Diffuser at the rear. Customised

These pieces lower the stance of this car dramatically without necessarily playing with low geometry. Frontal clearance is minimal. A GT wing has also been added recently to try to set lower times. Previous duck tail spoiler run at Fuji was removed for Tsukuba.

18" RE-30 complement the car well, Bridgestone RE-11 VERY high performance street tyres do the grip work.

A total package.

LEG SPORT

The Leg Sport car fits the definition of an FD street car with a track focus. Body styling also creates a link to something like a Porsche GT-3.

For those reasons these cars should hold some good ideas for most RE-Xtreme followers. Nothing too extreme (although porsche has recently don exactly that) and subtle empahsis where it is needed.

Leg Sport Logo is cool, right?

Front canards are small but effective. when matched to a mazdaspeed B-Spec Carbon Lip Spoiler. Combination lamp covers change the look ever so slightly.

Inside, My favourite FD replacement part is the DSSC (Defi super sports cluster) It removes the dials and gives digital and analog readouts of everything you need.

The NEW 2010 PFC commanders now display in orange LCD too so they match quite well as a combo. Nardi Classic wheel and Navigation TV Audio! You can hook up guages here also.

On track the car runs 18" WEDS SA-67R wheels so it strikes more impact than some other user cars.

Engine mods are limited to ensure reliability, Just a light tune boost up combo.
So if you like winding mountains and the S-Curves of a track. take some ideas fom here.

Russ.
