7's Day - Tsukuba - Static Displays

Tsukuba 7's day offers a lot. The show cars and trade displays have more than just race cars. In an attempt to finalise the Tsukuba coverage I'm lumping some posts together.

Gra- m Lights 57 Accellerate are a new offering. The machining rims are a bit bling but these are a cast model that offers good cost performance.

This is something that doesn't offer good cost performance. Any race engine is expensive to maintain. 5000klms is maybe a long life for one of these.

TCP Magic have this D1 car almost almost ready for Yoshioka.

It's going to be awesome seeing the Mad-Mike spec engine built by them finally fire up in anger.
No one looked at the rear of the car all day. It doesn't really make much sense to put sponsors stickers here. It's going to be COVERED in SMOKE!!!!

RYO also had their D1 car at Tsukuba. It seems to have retired from competion though recently. Uras bumper, just hanging around. Probably needed removal to get on the truck.

A closer look reveals the most amazing side treatment ever invented, you almost miss the seibon?? bonnet. If it is, it's finally an original-ish design from the rip off kings.

These wings and things are o-u-t-rageous

Remember when this car was THE HOTTEST FD on the plannet. Apexi D1 car with Vertex Ridge Widebody and R-Magic bonnet.

57S pro wheels with chrome finish are still the bomb!

Judas had this car for a while I believe. There were a couple I believe. One in Japan and one in America.

Profile of the Fuel Bank FD from Super Autobacs Omiya is a mad mad thing. No Rear window, repositioned rear lights and more.

The main reason for the wide wide machine is a set of 275/30/20 tyres on super offset rims.

The second reason is a showcase of interior trimming skill. The white and red suede is simply perfection!

Unfortunately the most important design feature of any car is the front. It seems that this was forgotten to be designed.

Lucky creativity is subjuctive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zolfG867D8E

The Autobacs Naganuma car is a much more convential design. However it's is impressive.

Merging RE-Amafflux "RE-A and FEED" fenders is no easy task. That makes each fender worth about $1500 dollars or 6K for a set of fenders. for what! No one usually notices. Only freaks like me pick these things.

For 6K, these days you could almost build a less showy version of this FC! Vert's in Japan these days are super cheap @ about 2K, the rims about 1.5K and the body work from yahoo would be cheap. But... the paint on this car would be somewhere in the same 6K region.

Some items raise the cost of this baby though. Silver carbon parts and cool interior turn this into probably my favourite car at Tuskuba. Front bumper opening is a very cool design. D-Max and BN sports style creates an awesome machine.

More FC's to come and only a few more posts... had enough yet??

Russ.
