Revolution cracks 53 Seconds at Tsukuba TC2000! New Record for S-tyres.
That's fast people!!! S-tyres!!! Basically a private team.
Revolution did about 6 laps today. 2 in laps, 2 paced laps and 2 cool down thats it.
So I didn't get many pics, I arrived just as the cars hit the cool morning track. First was 54.flat another record but there was time left.
Then in the next session 53.673
Amazing. The car didn't even look fast. It just went about it's business then Mana-P (commentator from D1) started screaming over the microphone. go-jyu-san byo... 53seconds.
Dino and I give it the Thumbs Up.
53.673 - Revolution
55.970 - Pan Speed
56.039 - R-Magic Pink 4
56.089 - Project Screen <- these guys were desperately wanting 55
57.833 - TiRacing <- this is an awesome effort. Street Driven.?
58.624 - RE-Wing
58.734 - Pan Speed with GCG
59.001 - Fujita <- soooo close to 58.
Rev Speed's own private run boost up project Rx7 ran 1.06.227 This is pretty good for near stock and regular driver.
More coverage to come.

Damn that is fast! How is Rs-Pantera doing?
ReplyDeleteNo Pantera dude.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, the companies are tied up with different sponsors.
You will note. No RE-Amemiya cars here.
Great time - what Hankook tyres are they running?
ReplyDeleteIs "s tyre" a semi slick / street legal like an R888?
In japan the term for semi-slick Tyres is "S-tyre"
ReplyDeleteThis is the home of the "sport-tyre" so I think every one else should use this
But instead they use race compound which is not exactly true
There are many compounds of "S-Tyre"
These are the softest on revolutions car
However there are some medium and hard compounds for longer events
