Revolution really shook up the RWD record. 53.6 at tsukuba is just a few milliseconds shy of the outright record at tsukuba.
The fact that this car runs this time in the first couple of laps means the car has to be ON, the driver has to be ON and the team have to be ON. Just like a qualifying session.
Hankook have been on board with this car for a while. And it seems that most of the cars yesterday were also on Hankook rubber.
Unfortunately, I missed this shot, but I never got another chance. Super lap is not really a spectator sport as the cars are not on track for long. From a 10 minute session. The top cars do 2 or three laps before the tyres peak performance has gone.
So here is another closeup in the new colours. Up front 4 x RE-30 sit with 295/30/18
Front Canards and end pieces
Front mesh to prevent road gunge or holes from race track crap.
The white part of the car I like.
They did a relatively good job applying the vinyl to raw carbon and trimming around all the pieces.
Rear view is still reveals black undersides.
Front end is serious. Project Mu (for the uneducated Mu is the measure of braking force ) more carbon in the wheel wells.
The under tray starts early on the car.
Craft square mirrors are about the only component you could use on a road car. Maybe the doors they are attached to also.
Roof is a roof. Small antenna is cool. Digi - Spice Data Logger "black box" means plug in to your laptop and download in no time at all.
Is this vented tank really required. I can't see the car requiring lightening fast refuelling like an endurance race does. But if you have one spare, why not.
Rear Brakes are bigger than most fronts. Rear suspension geometry doesn't look real standard.
New rear canards added the required downforce.
Not much air caught by the rear bar now.
That wing is a monster.
I don't know how, but the car still looks FD.
Inside, Sequntial, LCD display and not much more. Brake bias and a few switches.
In case you forgot the time.
Leave you with an action shot.
Russ.
Revolution is kicking ass. I want to see Panspeed and FEED do their best.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I would love to see Revolution develop a street spec FD with the data they have acquired from the TA car.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know how to check the current records, I mean not only rwd but all best lap times??
ReplyDeleteRevolution have the ta-1 black street car
ReplyDeleteIt does sub 1minute laps
His 4wd record is 53.5 something
Revolution data logger reveals a theoretical best better than this
But we all know theory is bull shit
Jasc Tsukuba site maybe
