Rev Speed Super Battle 2010 - IXY Money Shots!

I am the maybe the worlds only professional compact Canon IXY 25IS camera-man.

  

I have press access to get good position which makes a difference, but people still look strangely when I rock up with my two old canon IXY compacts. 1 for video, 1 for stills. 

Effective zoom is only about 60mm so artificial zoom comes later with image crop in photoshop.

But it gives me an option of cutting out crap in post processing. I think it's hard to tell that these are not from a DSLR.

The major problem with this kind of photography, is the focus element. The lens doesn't give that spark.

I have to replicate that with a series of filters.

But you never know, there may be a Canon 1D SLR in my sights. One of my IXYs died this week after 4 years of abuse.
