7's Day - Revolution TA-2

Yes, it takes this many people and a lot of cash to make and maintain the full carbon 95% custom built Revolution TA-2.
Early in the morning, the guys set about adjusting and double checking.

This is the pinnacle of JDM FD tuning. While other countries have sports car classes with more power and full slicks, Japan finds a niche somewhere in between street focussed tuning and Super GT.

First runs were taken among slower cars.

But some clear space was found on Tsukuba's TC 2000 circuit for maximum attack.

Temp was 30 degrees so breaking the track record would be tough. The car looked menacing.

The car racked up a 56.722 to take top honors in qualifing.

The track pressence of any full carbon car is simply amazing. The TA-2 is no different.

As I spoke to one of their staff, I asked the question... "What's the most interesting part of this car." The response after some deliberation was... "Everything." and it truely is the case.
As you go over this car with a magnifying glass. You find beauty in things like latches and fastenings that were custom cnc machined and then complemented with small carbon touches.

Some off the shelf parts of course include wheels and brakes. RAYS RE30 do the job with project Mu backing them up.

About the only non custom carbon parts apart from the main RE-Amemiya body panels are the craft square mirrors. Floor, parts of the chassis, and various other pieces were hand crafted.
A truely great machine.
Russ.
